Denial:
Every time I think I’ve hit rock bottom,
I feel the rocks erode at my feet.
Sinking into the soil, drowning in the sea.
Every time I think my mind is ready, memories seep inside.
Swimming in the sheets, filth at my feet.
All the signals given to you can’t save you.
Sinking in despair, gasping for air, isolation, desolation, spiritual desecration.
Isolation: you are alone.
Close the coffin.
Drop the curtain.

Anger/Barganing:
Wake up, go to school, go to work, go to church, get married. Have some kids, have some pets, kill some dreams, live regret.
Have an affair get a divorce. Pay your taxes.
Teach your young. Train your young.
Don’t you forget to die.
Regret.

Depression:
got a 9 to 5 and some more, got a salary, but I’m still poor. Roof over my head, but I want more, shoes on my feet but I need more.
And I pay bills and rent, but pile debt and regret. Pay your debt, and insurance.
Don’t die on our dime, you’re too poor to die.
Nothing will lead to success.
You are dead and you are done.

Acceptance:
She looked so beautiful.
Black dress, pursed lips, temptress, pressed hips.
Sex, drugs and rock and roll really aren’t that great.
Acceptance.
Rock and roll ruined my life.
